The Buzz
Small, independent producers are the heart and soul of Oregon's world-class wine industry. The Portland Indie Wine Festival is your opportunity to meet the next generation of winemakers emerging from cellars all across the state. This relatively unknown brigade of craft wineries (those who produce less than 2,000 cases each year) represents a diversity of styles and a bent toward sustainable agriculture and production.
All wines for PIWF are selected by a panel of judges in a blind tasting competition held March 10. The top scoring wines determine the 40 wine producers and the wines to be poured at the festival. 20 different producers will be featured each day to ensure the best possible experience for wine lovers.
Come meet the winemakers and hear their stories first hand, sample great food from top Oregon chefs, and buy wines on site to take home and enjoy with friends.
The festival will take place at the Chown Garage and Urban Wineworks, on the block of NW 16th and Flanders.
Tickets for the festival and seminars can be purchased at Indie's website.
Wine Sales: Most wineries will be selling their wines from their respective tables. There will be an area reserved to check-in purchased wines until buyers are ready to leave the festival.
